July 2016 - CEO Courtney Spaeth recieved SmartCEO's "Brava Award", a program that celebrates high-impact female entrepreneurs. The winners are selected by an independent committee of local business leaders. The Brava Awards program recognizes women with entrepreneurial spirits and a passion for giving back to the community, and encourages philanthropy, mentoring of up-and-coming leaders, and business growth. This year's winners in the Washington, DC region collectively generate more than $1.44 billion in annual revenue and employs 21,320 individuals, and we are pleased to be a part of this impressive cohort.

June 2016 – Ms. Ansley Jones Colby joins growth[period] from Atlanta as a Principal. Ms. Colby has extensive experience with public, government, and media affairs, and has been featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicles’ “40 Under 40” list. Prior to joining growth[period], Ms. Colby worked in the nonprofit and private sectors, where she advised top executives on stakeholder engagement strategies and advocacy initiatives. Ms. Colby served President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore in various roles during the 1992 and 1996 Presidential campaigns, and held senior positions within the Administration, including Senior Advisor and Director of Public Liaison for the Vice President. She also served as the Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army, where she spearheaded political, legislative, and communications agendas, and as Deputy Regional Political Director for the Democratic National Committee.
June 2016 -- Ms. Eileen Parise is welcomed to the team as Partner- Federal, Aerospace and Defense practice, following her career as a senior executive in various positions across the National, International and Homeland Security sectors. Previously, Ms. Parise served as Vice President of the Federal Sector of Erickson Aviaiton, and developed a new Government Services Operation in Washington, DC, supporting U.S. military and US Government agencies at home and abroad.
Prior to her work at Erickson Aviation, Ms. Parise was Vice President for Federal and Commercial markets at Rapiscan Systems, and started the Homeland Security Division at FLIR Systems. As such, she expanded business development and increasing market share, while supporting components within the National Security and Homeland Security Communities and Department of Transportation.

Mr. Doyle joins growth[period] following his tenure as Co-Founder, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of Haystax Technology, Inc., where he was directly responsible for significantly improving profitability of the firm. Working in conjunction with the CEO of Applied Signal Technology and the Edgewater Funds, Mr. Doyle and the managerial team successfully developed the firm into a software and services company providing cyber and advanced analytic solutions to both the commercial and federal markets.
Prior to his position with Haystax Technology, Inc., James Doyle acted as the Vice President of Finance at Raytheon Applied Signal Technology, which provides advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance hardware and software solutions to enhance global security. Mr. Doyle provided financial planning and analysis oversight for the firm, as well as managerial oversight for various divisions. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Doyle has demonstrated expertise in software and technology services, including signals intelligence and advanced analysis, as well as intelligent growth strategies and business operations.
