August 2018: growth[period] is pleased to announce our support of the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimers, a nationwide event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The Association has provided more than $350 million to over 2,300 scientific proposals, and provides information, support groups, care consultation, education, and emergency response services for families and professionals. The annual walk was established in 1989, when 9 Alzheimer's Association Chapters raised almost $150 thousand from approximately 1,200 participants, and in 2015 more than 50,000 teams participated and raised over $75 million.
